Who Are We? The University of Technology Sydney Buddhist Meditation Society has provided UTS’ diverse students and staff with an opportunity to meet Buddhist thought and philosophy since its founding in the 1980’s
The society is non-denominational and has evolved according to the changing interests of its members. Anyone interested in Buddhism or Meditation is encouraged to join and influence the society’s activities.
We are a proud member of the intervarsity MITRA Youth Buddhist Network Community whose members include Macbuddhi (Macquarie Uni's Buddhist Society) and Unibodhi (Sydney Uni's Buddhist Society).
Our Mission We aim to bring together people from different faiths and background who are interested in any aspect of Buddhism - whether it be the path to happiness, philosophy, meditation, practical methods of solving daily problems etc. We wish to develop a community of healthy, compassionate, wise, and spiritually rich university students.
Key ActivitiesUTS Buddhist Society’s various activities include: weekly meditation and dialogue, fortnightly Dharma talks, exploring aspects spirituality through Buddhist culture, intervarsity social events, and retreats. |
